Information about Photo3 Solutions Scams Advice- Is Photo3 a Scam?
We are aware that a number of fake model agencies have posted a scam warning claiming that Photo3 Solutions is a scam.
Our advice to new models is that they DO NOT need to pay for a modelling portfolio and they should avoid scam fake model agencies that insist that model portfolios are needed to apply to model agencies. Because this advice to not buy a portfolio is hitting these fake model agencies in the pocket they are trying to discredit our us and our advice except our advice is identical to top model agencies such as Select or Models1.
Their advice is exactly the same - you do not need to pay for an expensive portfolio to apply to them for modelling. Clear home taken shots are all you need to send to apply to be a model. The advice from Capri Models is purely to sell you a portfolio, it has no basis in reality for applying to top model agencies.
As a result of information posted on our website to inform potential models that UK Models is run by The Blue Rooms we have been threatened with legal action by UK Models/Diesel Models. The legal action failed as all of the information posted on our website is true and factually correct. The UK Models website makes no mention that the studios they send you to are owned by them and their emails to models are worded to make it appear that there is no connection between their companies.
As a result of these scams being exposed by Photo3, UK Models have posted a page on their website which is a direct copy of text from our model scams warning page but replacing the words "UK Models" with "Photo3 Solutions". None of the information on their website is true about Photo3 Solutions but it is true about UK Models/Diesel Models. Whilst we are flattered that UK Models consider our expose of their underhand tactics to be worthy of a place on their website, their facts are completely untrue. Namely:
1) Photo3 does not charge £800 for a portfolio shoot.
As clearly shown on our website the price for our photo shoot is £275. UK Models show no prices on their website and models have been known to pay well over £800 to the UK models photo studios, Blue Rooms and Pure Space studios.
2) Photo 3 Solutions do not run various websites, including their own, that state they are a Modelling agency but this is not true as Photo 3 Solutions are not a modelling agency and clearly state that they will not find models work.
Untrue. The only websites we run are Photo3 and Models3. We do not run fake websites using fake names and we do not need to post fake reviews on Yahoo praising our services as UK models do.
Photo3 Solutions operate as photographers and book models for work. Unlike UK Models we are happy to provide details of models that we have booked for clients for modelling work and any prospective client is welcome to contact them to verify that we are genuine. We have booked work for both local models and nationally known models such as Wonderbra model Katie Green who has appeared in many tabloid papers.
Director of Photo3, Andrew James, is one of the site administrators of modelling website Purestorm.com and has come across many modelling scams over the years and as a result of exposing these scams has come under attack from the likes of UK Models.
Again to verify if Photo3 Solutions is a scam feel free to post a question on modelling forums on Purestorm or other sites such as net-model.com
3) Photo 3 Solutions state you have to pay at least £350 but some people have paid over £1200.
Totally untrue. Again these prices are for UK Models, not Photo3. Unlike UK models we are completely open and transparent on our prices. We only charge £275 for our photo shoots which includes prints & CD. Unlike Blue Rooms/UK Models we do not do the hard sell on clients after the shoot and have never ever charged more than £275 for a model photo shoot. UK Models will not give details of pricing until after your shoot so that they can pressure you to buy photos from £350 to £1200.
4) We have been asked if you have to pay for a Photo 3 Solutions photo shoot
We do sometimes offer Time for Prints/Time for CD photo shoots where models do not have to pay anything for their shoot. UK Models ALWAYS charge for the photo shoots at their studios Blue Rooms and Pure Space studios in London.
5) The quality of work is awful and in no way comprises any work that is suitable for a model, and the website is very sub standard.
We leave this to your judgement but the standard of shots provided from UK Models photo shoots does not match the glosst photos on their website and is not suitable for use as a model portfolio. As a small company we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and have won awards for our photography along with images being selected as "Image of the Week" on OneModelPlace.com
Photo3 Solutions feel very strongly that models should be aware of the scams that are out there to con them out of money. This has resulted in the kinds of personal attacks that UK Models have displayed on their website and a police investigation into the threats from the people behind UK Models.

Photo3 Solutions have been in dispute with UK Models (previously called Diesel Models) for a number of years over their claims to be a model agency and to give models a step up in modelling when they are just photo studios called The Blue Rooms and Pure Space only interested in selling portfolio shoots to models.
